Terms & Conditions

By using Vinyl Sticker services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. All products are custom-manufactured to order. Clients are responsible for artwork accuracy. Reprints are available for verified manufacturing defects reported within 7 days. Any disputes are governed by Victorian law.

1. Artwork Approval & Production Commencement

All artwork must be reviewed and approved by the client — either in writing via email or through our online approval workflow — before production begins. By submitting approval, the client confirms that all content, dimensions, colour, spelling, and layout are correct and print-ready.

Once approval is given and payment is confirmed, the job enters the production queue. No further changes, cancellations, or modifications can be accepted after this point. Production typically commences within 1–2 hours of approval and payment receipt.

Standard production and dispatch takes 7–14 business days from the date of artwork approval and payment confirmation. This does not include transit time to your location. Total delivery time will be longer depending on your shipping destination. If your order has a hard deadline, you must contact us prior to placing your order to confirm feasibility — we cannot guarantee rush production unless confirmed in writing.

2. Client Responsibility for Artwork

The client is solely responsible for verifying all aspects of submitted artwork before approval, including but not limited to:

  • Spelling, grammar, and all textual content
  • Correct dimensions and orientation
  • Colour accuracy and mode (CMYK as required)
  • Resolution and image quality at the intended print size
  • Inclusion of sufficient bleed (minimum 3 mm on all sides)
  • Correct version of artwork being submitted

We are not liable for any errors in client-supplied or client-approved files. Our preflight check identifies technical file issues but does not verify content accuracy, spelling, or design intent.

3. Colour Accuracy & Tolerance

Printed colour output is produced using calibrated CMYK wide-format printing processes. Colour reproduction is subject to industry-standard tolerances, which we define as a Delta E variance of ≤ 3 under D50 illuminant as measured against the approved file's CMYK values. Variations within this tolerance do not constitute a defect.

Screen proofs and printed output will differ. Monitors display colour in RGB using transmitted light; print uses CMYK inks on physical substrates. These are fundamentally different systems and exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed based on screen appearance alone.

Exact Pantone (PMS) or spot-colour matching is only available when explicitly contracted in writing as a PMS-matched production run, is subject to the specific material's colour gamut, and carries an additional fee. Standard production runs are CMYK process only.

We are not responsible for colour variance resulting from: RGB files converted to CMYK during production; uncalibrated or wide-gamut monitors used for proofing; or inherent colour variation between different material substrates.

4. File Specifications & Preflight

All files must meet the technical specifications published on our Artwork Specifications page, including minimum resolution, CMYK colour mode, bleed requirements, and font handling.

Every submitted file undergoes a complimentary preflight check prior to production. If technical issues are detected, we will contact the client before proceeding. Preflight approval does not guarantee a specific colour outcome — it confirms the file is technically suitable for production.

Files that fail to meet specifications and where the client does not supply corrected artwork within a reasonable timeframe may result in order cancellation. Setup fees already incurred are non-refundable in such cases.

5. Custom Production, Returns & Cancellations

All products are custom-manufactured to order and are non-refundable and non-returnable once production has commenced. Orders cannot be cancelled, reversed, or modified after production has begun.

Returns or replacements are only available where a verified manufacturing defect exists — meaning the printed product materially deviates from the approved artwork or file due to an error on our part. Manufacturing defects must be reported within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence.

The following do not constitute manufacturing defects and are not grounds for return, replacement, or refund:

  • Errors in client-supplied or client-approved artwork
  • Colour variation within the specified Delta E ≤ 3 tolerance
  • RGB-to-CMYK colour shift in files not supplied in CMYK
  • Low resolution or image quality issues present in the original file
  • Change of mind after production has commenced
  • Incorrect size or product type ordered by the client

6. Reprint Policy

We will reprint at no additional charge where a verified manufacturing defect is confirmed. To be eligible for a reprint, the client must:

  • Report the issue within 7 calendar days of the confirmed delivery date
  • Provide clear photographic evidence of the defect alongside the original order number
  • Retain and make available the defective product (or a representative sample) until the matter is resolved

We reserve the right to assess the reported defect before confirming a reprint. If the issue is determined to be caused by the client's artwork, file quality, or approved content, no reprint will be issued. Our decision in such matters is final at first instance; however, clients may escalate to an independent mediator under ACL dispute resolution provisions.

7. Shipping, Delivery & Transit Damage

We deliver Australia-wide via third-party courier services. Standard production takes 7–14 business days from artwork approval and payment confirmation. Shipping transit time is additional and varies by destination. Estimated delivery timeframes are indicative only and may vary due to carrier delays, public holidays, weather events, or other factors outside our control. We are not liable for consequential loss arising from delivery delays.

Transit damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of both the outer packaging and the damaged product, before the packaging is disposed of. Claims made after this period cannot be accepted.

8. Installation & Application

Any installation or application of our products is carried out entirely at the client's risk. We are not liable for issues arising from substrate surface conditions, environmental factors, substrate suitability, substrate preparation, or the installation process itself. We recommend engaging a professional installer for complex or large-scale applications. We provide installation service on request in the Melbourne metropolitan area; service-specific terms apply.

9. Intellectual Property & Copyright

The client warrants that they hold all necessary rights, licences, and permissions for all images, logos, text, photographs, and other content submitted for printing. By submitting an order, the client indemnifies Vinyl Sticker against any claim, cost, or liability arising from copyright infringement, trademark violation, defamation, or any other intellectual property or legal violation relating to client-supplied artwork. We reserve the right to refuse to print any content we reasonably believe to be unlawful, offensive, or in breach of a third party's rights.

10. Privacy

We collect and use personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By using our services, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as outlined in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to any client in connection with any order is limited to the total purchase price paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or damage to reputation, arising from or connected with the use of our products or services, regardless of the cause of action. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or an order placed with us will first be referred to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 14 days, either party may seek mediation through a recognised dispute resolution body. Failing mediation, disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. By placing an order, you agree to these dispute resolution steps and to the jurisdiction of the Victorian courts.
